MITA State Self-Assessment (SS-A) Workgroup
The State Self-Assessment (SS-A) Workgroup is spearheading the development of a re-imagined SS-A process that is outcome based, less burdensome, and more useful to states and CMS. The SS-A Workgroup will work towards achieving the MITA 4.0 goal by developing a new SS-A tool and co-developing a new maturity model with MITA NextGen.
Goals
- Make MITA more meaningful
- Reduce burden on State Medicaid Agencies
- Enable automation
- Further MITA's integration with the Advance Planning Document (APD), certification, and other enterprise-wide activities
- Release guidance that is aligned with current trends in healthcare and IT
- Develop an Outcomes-based Planning Process
- Develop the MITA Maturity Model (co-developed with MITA NextGen Workgroup)
- Release an SS-A Tool and Assessment Process
The membership of the SS-A Workgroup comprises of subject-matter experts from states, federal agencies, industry, vendors, and technology integrators.
