MITA Communications Workgroup

The Communications Workgroup’s role is to increase interest and awareness of MITA 4.0 and provide ongoing updates to ensure the Medicaid Community has insight into the journey of its development. The workgroup publishes a quarterly newsletter and maintains the MITA Repository to share information to keep stakeholders informed of the MITA Governance Board’s activities and progress developing the new MITA 4.0. The workgroup also provides information and helps to market MITA at key workshops including Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference (MESC). In addition, they explore options for publishing and sharing new MITA 4.0 materials.

Vision

  • To build an informed and engaged Medicaid community through clear, timely communications that drive awareness, understanding, and adoption of MITA 4.0, empowering stakeholders to contribute to its development and implementation.

Goals

  • Develop and implement targeted communication strategies to raise awareness of MITA 4.0 among Medicaid stakeholders
  • Expand outreach efforts through diverse channels to engage a broader audience
  • Publish a quarterly newsletter to share progress, milestones, and insights from the MITA Governance Board
  • Highlight the benefits and potential impact of MITA 4.0 through strategic marketing efforts, emphasizing its role in advancing Medicaid programs

The membership of the Communications Workgroup comprises of subject-matter experts from states, federal agencies, industry, vendors, and technology integrators.
