MITA Governance Board (MGB) Members
The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMCS) established the MITA Governance Board (MGB) to provide strategic direction and tactical oversight for Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA). CMCS vision to transform MITA drove the decision to reestablish the MITA Governance Board (MGB) in March of 2023.
The MITA Board members include a mix of people with business and technical expertise in federal, state, and community health. Board members are asked to serve for two years and to volunteer four to eight hours per month at MGB activities and meetings. MGB members are selected through a competitive and transparent process involving a nomination application form in response to a call for members issued by the CMCS management team. The appointments are voluntary, without compensation, and finalized when the Director of DSS approves the selected candidates recommended by the CMCS management team. For more information, please contact the MITA Governance Board at MITAGOVBOARD@cms.hhs.gov.
